For more information, call Marilyn Raczynski, 878-5469. ~ Come join our celebration of patriotism~ From the Prez It never ceases to amaze me that such a small group of people can accomplish so much. I am really proud to be associated with all of the people in this auxiliary. On a serious note, I would like to congratulate Carol Waldrop, A564 Senior Advisor, on being elected as Division Five Auxiliary Coordinator. Carol has been Assistant Coordinator to Mary Luhn for the past three years. We agreed to co-host with chapter A557 at this year's convention. I'd like to thank our members who made it a success. First, thanks to Jeanne Foote, who stepped in and took over sole responsibility for the Auxiliary Credentials Desk. Thanks to Cecilia Magaw, Carol Waldrop, Mavis Jock and Alma Hurt for assisting with selling raffle and 50/50 tickets (editor's note: also thanks to Marilyn). We shared the ticket profits with A557, taking home $192.00 each. The Auxiliary Tea was a great success. Our members participated in the Funny Fashion Show with Cecelia Magaw as host and MC. Jeanne and I modeled along with members from A557. You had to be there to appreciate the fun we had. Thanks to Grace McLaughlin for the costume ideas. Conventions aren't all fun and games. We have business meetings and workshops that are very informative. Next year we will be hosting the convention at Vero Beach and I hope everyone can come. Again, I would like to thank all of you who worked so hard to keep this chapter number 1. We make a good team. Marilyn Raczynski, President A564 Threepeat!! Chapter 564 won two recruiting awards and Chapter Newsletter of the Year (under 125 members). By Margaret Caradini In the period of April-June 2003 we sent manufacturer's cents off coupons to Alconbury RAF England, Army Headquarters 20th Support Group TAGUE and Lajes Field, Azores. We have already received a nice letter from the Army headquarters thanking us for the coupons. Please continue to clip coupons for these military families overseas. Ask your church or community group members to save their coupons for us. The overseas bases really need this help and appreciate our efforts in this AFSA International Auxiliary project. Collectables We are still collecting aluminum pop tops, box tops for education and manufacturer's cents off coupons to support our community service projects and military families overseas. Next May Next year's Division Five convention will be hosted by 564/A564. This will be another great opportunity for our chapter. The convention will be held at the oceanfront Vero Beach Inn on A1A near Jaycee Park in Vero Beach. Mark your calendar now, May 13-16, 2004. Division conventions are a great place to learn about AFSA and to make friends from all over Florida and Puerto Rico.
